botnek: Hailing from the quiet Canadian province of Nova Scotia, Botnek is a sassy & fun-loving DJ/production duo. United by their love of beer and music, Gordon & Erick have been inseparable since first meeting by chance at a party in 2010. Since then, they’ve released dozens of songs, flown on a billion flights and drank a trillion brews. If you’ve never heard a Botnek song before, think about a sexy groove and some saucy synths, and you'll know what to expect. Botnek is coming to a stage near you this year so expect plenty of sass, burps & ringing ear drums.
Sinden: DJ, Producer, Remixer, label boss… For a decade now Graeme 'Sinden' has stealthily established himself as one of the leaders of dance music as we know it. Well documented and support collaborations (Shadow Child, SBTRKT, AC Slater) with an array of scene leaders demonstrate the level at which he operates
The past few years have seen a busy release schedule for Sinden, collaborative EP's and remixes for Night Bass, a 2 track EP for Tchami's Confession label and an album for leading Japanese house label label Sushi Records are just a few of many highlights.
On the remix front his production touches are in high demand - his reworks for Cause & Affect, Bobby Brackins, Paces and Alison Wonderland to name a few are still firmly on the USB's of the main players.
Sinden is helming an exciting new project entitled 'Houseline' which he carefully curated and visualized. Working alongside Insomniac Records, the first compilation was released earlier and enjoyed widespread acclaim and success. Taking inspiration from the spirit of no ego ‘music focused’ warehouse raves and the enterprising bass bent House and Garage music he pioneered, this label kickstarts a new and exciting chapter in an already colorful music career.
Sinden has also partnered with some great brands in the past 12 months further showcasing those production tricks and DJ skills. He performed at Roland's prestigious 909 launch day event and at the Roland stage at NAMM 2017. Topping off a very busy year (EDC Vegas, Electric Forest, Middlelands, Beyond Wonderland, Life Is Beautiful, Night Bass Summer Phases etc) he also delivered a performance video for Serato, cementing his status as an official artist for the innovating New Zealand based company.
LA Riots: A lot has happened since LA RIOTS introduced a bawdy blend of Indie Rock, Alt Dance & Electro music to the world in 2007. Formed on the 15th anniversary of the 1992 Los Angeles Riots by Daniel Linton and John O'Brien, the group was named as a reflection of his aggressive and rebellious sound. An attitude not commonly found in Electronic Dance Music at the time, it differentiated him from the worldwide DJ pack. However it was taken; his approach achieved the group multiple successes early on, including becoming North American tour support for MSTRKRFT and the Bloody Beetroots as well as signing to A-Trak's label, Fools Gold. That same year he landed on the lineup of Australia’s Global Gathering Festival alongside Kraftwerk, Mark Ronson and Sasha, exposing him to a global audience.
Over the years, their broad musical scope has led to plays from some of the biggest names in the industry. LA RIOTS production is varied, but his quality control and precision in the studio creates a sound that translates the party straight to the dance floors, including remixes of acts like Weezer, Kylie Minogue, Justice, Lady Gaga, 30 Seconds To Mars, MSTRKRFT, Tiesto, Katy Perry, AFI, and Tricky, to name just a few.
It is those same high-profile productions that has prompted him to land even higher profile gigs. He's toured with The Crystal Method, Pendulum and a second outing with MSTRKRFT, several tours across Europe, Asia and Australia as well as appearances at Chicago’s Lollapalooza, ULTRA Music Festival in Miami (3x), Electric Zoo, I<3Techno in Europe, Belgium’s Pukklepop Festival, Sasquatch, Paradiso and Coachella. Additionally, Beatport named him as “Break Out Star” at the 2010 Winter Music Conference and he was invited to go on the first ever electronic music only tour across America, 2011’s Identity Festival with Avicii, Steve Aoki, Kaskade, Steve Lawler, Modeselektor, Nervo, Booka Shade, Rusko and more.
Since then LA RIOTS has gone on to release on various labels including Ultra, Dim Mak, Musical Freedom, Spinnin, Buygore and Interscope Records. Partnering with brands such as Sony Playstation, Sol Republic, Lexus, Red Bull, Lululemon and Arnette along with appearances on NBC and a feature in Steve Aoki's Bud Light Platinum Super Bowl commercial has demonstrated his ability to go beyond the role of just being a DJ.
In the last year LA RIOTS has released a steady series of originals on respected house labels like Be One, Country Club Disco, Psycho Disco!, Spinnin and Great Stuff Recordings with several more in the pipeline on labels like Armada, a remix for Vanilla Ace on Worthy's Anabatic Records and another original signed to In/Rotation. He's also earned top listings on Spotify’s Housewerks playlist along with several others, resulting in millions of plays for songs like “House Philosophy” and “House Is A Feeling”, and a current monthly Spotify listener base of 360,000+ and growing.
